A HOUSE IN THE OLD TOWN OF OSTUNI.

The name Chianca Bianca derives from two peculiarities of Ostuni: Chianca in the Ostuni dialect is a flat stone which the streets of the town are made of and this house is entirely of stone and Bianca because Ostuni is in fact the White City, unique of its kind. The house, completely air-conditioned, has been recently renovated trying to enhance the typical characteristics of the Apulian architecture such as the use of exposed stone and the vaulted ceiling. Even the furniture reflects the typical canons of the Apulian style. The house, equipped with everything you need for short or long stays, has its own entrance and is on two levels, has a bedroom and a large living area, as well as a bathroom with shower and kitchenette; it also has a balcony and a terrace, both overlooking the characteristic alley below and the sea of Ostuni.

LIVING AREA with ALCOVA: The living area is on the first floor which is accessed by a staircase with stone walls: it reflects the characteristics of the typical “casedde” (the litlle houses) of Ostuni consinsting in “sala” (the living room), “arcueve” (the alcove) and “cammarino”, a smaller room. The living room has star vaults and is large and very bright because it has a balcony and continues with the alcove, the bedroom of the past, in which there is a large sofa bed for two guests; in the dining room there is also a dining table and a kitchenette. Where there was the cammarino now there is a bathroom with shower, comfortable and spacious. From the living area you enter the upper floor where the bedroom is located.

BEDROOM: The bedroom is very impressive because it is completely set in stone: you will feel like you are sleeping inside a cave!!! Even the furniture is suggestive and reflects the colors of our land of Puglia. The wardrobe is instead carved out of a niche carved into the stone.

TERRACE: From the staircase to the bedroom you can also access the double terrace overlooking the alley below and the sea of Ostuni. The terrace is perfect for a breakfast in the morning, for an aperitif at sunset, for a romantic dinner overlooking the white roofs of Ostuni. Finally, the solarium equipped with deck chairs to enjoy the sun of Ostuni overlooking the sea and the White City.
